The Hunger Games Review by Chloe
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Synopsis
Winning will make you famous.
Losing means certain death.
In a dark vision of the near future, a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called the Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed.
When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.
Chloe's Review - 5 out of 5
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was exciting and it just made me want to read on. I like the way the author uses so much description through the whole book.
I enjoyed reading about how they felt and not just what was happening. When I read it I felt like I was a part of the story, and not just reading it.
At first when I started reading I didn't understand some of it but the more I read the more it made sense and I loved it.
My favourite character is Katniss because she is strong and kind hearted. She even sacrifices her self to protect her sister. I like the way she uses her bow and arrow to protect herself and keep herself alive. Katniss is a strong character girls can look up to.
This is the best book I have ever read and can't wait to read the rest of the series.
