The Ice Twins by S.K. Tremayne
A year after one of their identical twin daughters, Lydia, dies in an accident, Angus and Sarah Moorcraft move to the tiny Scottish island Angus inherited from his grandmother, hoping to put together the pieces of their shattered lives.
But when their surviving daughter, Kirstie, claims they have mistaken her identity—that she, in fact, is Lydia—their world comes crashing down once again.
As winter encroaches, Angus is forced to travel away from the island for work, Sarah is feeling isolated, and Kirstie (or is it Lydia?) is growing more disturbed. When a violent storm leaves Sarah and her daughter stranded, Sarah finds herself tortured by the past—what really happened on that fateful day one of her daughters died?
Claire's Review 5 of 5 Stars
When I first heard about this book, I knew I just had to get my hands on a copy! The Ice Twins has to be one of the most creepiest, and haunting books I have ever read! Not only does it draw you in, but it leaves you unable to shake the story for days!
I can only imagine the horror of losing a daughter, which was the reality for Sarah and Angus Moorcroft when they lost their daughter Lydia in a freak accent, not only losing a daughter but a twin, who leaves behind her twin sister Kirsty, or is it Lydia? Is it possible they could have gotten the daughter wrong?
Deciding to make a new start in Scotland the family move to a small island that Angus inherited from his grandmother. Being a parent myself, little Kirsty broke my heart! Such a troubled little girl who goes through so much, and I just wanted to reach into the book and give her a cuddle!
This book has so many twists and turns, it keeps you totally hooked, and brings out so many emotions in the reader! I loved characters and hated others, I smiled and I cried!
This is truly a story you cannot experience through a review, it has to be read!
