Review: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks, Sarah Pekkanen

The Wife Between Us
A novel of suspense that explores the complexities of marriage and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous wife and her obsession with her replacement.
You will assume you are reading about a woman about to enter a new marriage with the man she loves.
You will assume the first wife was a disaster and that the husband was well rid of her.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
Assume nothing.

Discover the next blockbuster novel of suspense, and get ready for the read of your life.

The Wife Between Us was a fantastic book of suspense and psychological drama. The plot was very well thought out, and that wasn't an easy task to pull off since there are so many twists and connections that I didn't see coming- I love that!
It is about broken humans and what they do to each other (either purposefully or not) to try to heal themselves and their own past. We all have issues and some are darker and harder to move past than others, but what these authors do is perfectly inject each character's own issues into explaining their behaviors. I kept thinking I would be rolling my eyes at the ridiculous things Nellie did throughout the book but it never happened- hooray!. Yeah she did some dumb things but we really got why she did them and where she was coming from. It was really that good. And for an arc to be that well edited there has to have been a ton of readers and loads of time and effort into making sure this plot was believable. It was. It really was a great book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books with psychological suspense that keep you turning pages but don't leave you hanging in the end. Great job!
