Ever Winter ARC review

Ever Winter (Dark Faerie Tales, #3)Ever Winter by Alexia Purdy

Book Synopsis.

Shade is left all but shattered. She must travel to the Ice kingdom along with her 'body guard' Dylan, who continues to be bound with a blood oath to her, where the holder of her magic dwells. Her only chance to right the warring Faerie lands to harmony will be to resist the enchantments of the Ice King, one of the Ancient rulers of Faerie, to regain her power and make it to the Summer Kingdom with her family to claim back her throne.

Only the Ancients of Faerie don't want her to succeed and there are treacheries in every crevice of the land, even among the human mortals and trusted allies.

My review.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I fell in love with Purdy's work whilst reading Ever Shade, and the books just keep getting better and better. I literally jumped at the chance to get an ARC of Ever Winter.

Shade's world keeps getting bigger, her choices harder, and her love life more complicated. And the story just gets more involved, dragging you into her world at breakneck speeds.

Shade grows up a lot in this book. Considering how much she has grown since the first books that may sound surprising, but it's true. Events in the book make her stronger.

The ending leaves you with images of what may happen in the next instalment, and part of me almost wishes I hadn't accepted the ARC, because now I have slightly longer to wait before the next instalment is released. Almost.
