Hello Tracy, welcome to Booky Ramblings. First off tell us a little bit about yourself. Hello, I am a Christian Author from North Alabama. I work part time as a registered nurse at a local nursing home.

What inspired you to write your first book? I have been writing for a year now.  A bad storm blew in one day and reminded me of the Tornados that blast through Alabama in April of 2011. So, I decided to write about the things I heard from family and friends, and the things I saw when visiting Hackleburg and Phil Campbell, Alabama.

What was one  of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books? That people can be critical but I know that adds to your writing experiences.

How long does it take you to write a book? About six months depending on which one.

Can you share a little of your  current work with us? Southern Attraction is a young adult romance book.  I write about the tornadoes that came through Alabama and most of the south during 2011.  Not a lot of people join forces to help others until devastation hits there own lives.  Decatur, Alabama didn’t get hit but we lost power for a week.  From the loss of power, we had no lights whatsoever, no electricity, food spoiled, no gas because of the service stations closing. Walmart closed!  That’s hard to say because of how much people depend on them!

Describe  your main character, in 5 words. Heather is spoiled, courageous, beautiful, outgoing, caring.

What is your work schedule like when you’re writing? Busy with marketing, book signings, trying to work my second job, picking up children from school, going to appointments, etc…

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? Writing is fun and hard but worthwhile.

Which authors would you say inspired you to write? There are many authors to chose from. Danielle Steel is one that became famous from early on, so I would say her.

What books did you read as a child? Judy Blume’s Superfudge, Boxcar Children, Alice in Wonderland, Tom Sawyer, etc…

Here are some random questions for you now.

If someone wrote your biography, what do you think the title should be? Hard working Author and Mother

What book are you currently reading? Highland Hero by Amanda Scott

What is in your fridge right now? Milk, cheese, eggs, Juice, lunch meat, sodas.

Favorite Ice Cream flavor? Butter Pecan

Cats or dogs? Dogs.  My dog is a chocolate lab.

Pet Peeves? The phone ringing.

And finally, since I’m a little obsessed with the upcoming  Zombie Apocalypse, your house is under attack and you only have time to grab 3 things, what do you grab? My family, photos, purse.
