Union J shot to stardom after reaching the X Factor finals in 2012. Jaymi, Josh and JJ had originally auditioned as a three piece called Triple J, but Louis selected soloist George to join the group, recognising their potential as a four. They have since played to sold out arenas around the country on the X Factor tour, signed a record deal with Sony Music and recorded their first single to be released in June 2013.

Mum's Verdict

All young girls love a boy band! And Chloe is no different. She also loves the X Factor. And when she found out one of the Union J boys is from the same town we live in, she was ecstatic. So when Penguin agreed to send her this copy of their Official book she was thrilled.

When it arrived even I was shocked. This is no small book! Its huge and filled with hundreds of pages, stories from all the boys and thousands of photos. Chloe didn't put it down for days and managed to read it cover to cover in just two days.

    In this book it is all about how Union J came together.  I like the way they explain that they didn't have the best child hood but they still managed to become famous. The book starts from when they were born to now as there famous.

To be honest biographies aren't my favorite books but I loved this book. I was going to bed some nights and weren't putting the book down until 9 at night. Out of all the books I have ever read this is my all time favorite. I have always loved Union J but after I had read this it was like I know everything about them and I loved it. As well as all their stories, there were lots of facts about them all, and hundreds of photos, which were really cool.

If you like Union J as much as I do you will love this book. I would recommend this to every Union J fan. I feel like I know the band so much better now!
