Review: Head Over Heels by Holly Smale

Head Over Heels (Geek Girl, #5)
“My name is Harriet Manners, and I will always be a geek.”
The fifth book in the bestselling, award-winning GEEK GIRL series.
Harriet Manners knows almost every fact there is.
She knows duck-billed platypuses don’t have stomachs.
She knows that fourteen squirrels were once detained as spies.
She knows only one flag in the world features a building.
And for once, Harriet knows exactly how her life should go. She’s got it ALL planned out. So when love is in the air, Harriet is determined to Make Things Happen!
If only everyone else would stick to the script…
Has GEEK GIRL overstepped the mark, and is following the rules going to break hearts all over again?

Clare's Review 4 of 5 stars

Harriet Manners knows a lot! Like most teenagers she thinks she knows more than she probably does. Holly is a sixth form student getting ready for exams, I particularly enjoyed her character this time round, she is starting to grow up but still feels like the girl we all were at that age!

I felt that this story was a bit more in depth than the previous novel, there is more information and more happening and plenty of laughs along the way. It becomes obvious as the book progress that Harriet is changing and growing and her life and maturity really starts to progress. Sneaking around proves she has some more growing to do but by the end of the story lessons have been learnt and there are major changes happening.

I enjoyed the progression of the story in this book, Harriet makes the transition from younger silly teen to a young lady who is fast becoming an adult, the story flows well throughout and the transition is constant and reads extremely well. The talent of this author shows throughout the story and I would highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a funny and lighthearted read.
