Fern book release and giveaway

Fern (Blood Vine Series #2)Fern by Amy Richie

Book Synopsis:

"It's strange how fast life changes. Just when you think you have it all figured out, a council man hands you six werewolves to take care of."

Willow and her pack had barely settled into their new town when the council showed up again. Only this time its to ask for their help—to save Gage. How can Willow refuse?

Suddenly, Willow is thrust into a world of childhood nightmares. The Ancient City. But it isn't at all what she thought it would be. In fact, Willow soon realizes that not many things are what she thought they would be and she has to figure out for herself which things are worth fighting for.

Shona's review.

My rating 5 of 5 stars.

I absolutely loved Willow (the first book in the Blood Vine series). The way Willow adapted to her pack, the way the boys reacted to her, the dynamic of the pack was awesome (and yes I'm becoming über aware as to how often I use that world lately). That however was nothing compared to Fern.

Richie once again drags the reader into Willow's world and submerges you into the pack. What happens to the pact happens to you, which is why on more than one occasion I was in tears or laughing out loud. This pack was MY pack. And I wasn't happy to say goodbye to it at the end of the book.

Still reeling from the discovery that Gage is in fact Mikhaul, the man she was raised to fear, Willow sets off to rescue him from the vampires she was raised to hate and face the woman who raised her. Willow grows so much in this book, she finally realises what it means to lead a pack and she has herself a Eureka! moment when it all falls into place. At this point I actually fisted the air and cheered... I kid you not, I'm just glad I was home alone at that point.

This book was filled with story, there was no slow parts, no quiet parts. From start to finish this book was impossible to put down and I devoured it in two sittings. If you only ever read one Werewolf series make it this one. You wont be disappointed.

  5. I wonder what is it like to be a werewolf in this author's world. It seems to me that the vampire and werewolf myth varies from author to author.
