1772992317403239 Bind Me & Heart You (Roommate Romances) By Rene Folsom

Book Synopsis

Bind Me: Bind Me is an erotic romance short story for ADULTS ONLY! This novelette is roughly 6600 words and contains light BDSM scenes between a curious woman and her very dominant male roommate.

Lily had a suspicion her new roommate was the type to always take control, no matter what the situation. It wasn’t until she accidentally peeked in on Chaz dominating another woman, that her suspicions were realized. Lily watched with amazement as Chaz masterfully played the female like a sensual instrument, bringing her the most intense gratification Lily had ever witnessed.

After witnessing his sexual expertise from a distance and noticing the careful attention he gives to his lovers, Lily wanted nothing more than to have his hands sculpt every inch of her body. Unable to forget the incredibly erotic scene Chaz so skillfully played out, Lily sought to make her desires known by casually submitting to him throughout their daily lives.

To her excitement, Chaz invites Lily to his prestigious art show opening at a local gallery. All it takes is a slinky dress, a pair of kitten heels, and a tiny scrap of lace to drive Chaz wild, causing some very heated moments

Heart You:  Heart You is an erotic romance short story for ADULTS ONLY! This novelette is roughly 7200 words and contains a hot sexual triad between two female roommates and their Valentine's Day boy toy.

Have you ever wanted something you know you shouldn't? That forbidden fruit. A temptation that will surely lead you down the path of illicit indulgence, and ultimately, pleasure beyond your wildest imaginations.

That was the daily torture Samantha put herself through when she thought of her roommate, Kara. Sitting alone on Valentine's Day, Sam found comfort in sharing her innermost secrets with her trusty journal while lusting over the brown-eyed goddess. At least until Kara comes home with a sizzling hot man and a night full of naughty games that would even make cupid blush

Claire's Review 5 of 5 Stars

Very short reads but I loved them! not much time to get to know the characters due to the length and the action starting pretty quickly!

All I have to say is move over 50 shades! These are well written and great for a quick read! Will be looking forward to reading more of Rene's work as so far everything I have read I have loved!

Author Bio

Rene-Folsom-Headshot As an award-winning web and graphic designer, Rene Folsom has always grasped the ability to transform information into art. After many years in the design industry, capturing the attention of the reader with great graphics was no longer her only goal. While her artistic side will always be her source of inspiration, Rene has found that branching out into the literary world with her heartfelt, romantic, and rather steamy stories by combining her love of art and reading, was just the next step in her journey.

Being a mother of three and wife of one, Rene has had to juggle career, kids, family, grocery shopping, and stain removal. Years of experience has provided her plenty of creative material to work with. Using both words and design, taking these very different experiences and bringing them all to paper has proven to be quite enjoyable for both writer and reader alike.

Obtaining her degree from Santa Fe State College in Gainesville, Florida, Rene studied everything from fine arts to sculpture and vocals, but found her true artistic inspiration when she took off to Italy after graduation.

Still residing on the beaches of sunny Central Florida, Rene Folsom now adds the title of “author” to her belt, providing contemporary and paranormal romance stories to her readers. If you like stories that ratchet up your heart rate and make you lose your breath, then basque in the glow of your eReader and let one of Rene’s books take your heart, body, and soul on a journey.

  1. What inspired you to write your first book?
That depends on what you consider my first book.  If you mean the first book I published, then I must tell you my fun little story about the inspiration of Heart You.  This year, on Valentine’s Day, Cynthia Shepp posted a Goodreads group thread challenging authors to come up with a short story using the following prompts: Valentine’s Day, candy conversation hearts, a love triangle, a black rose, and water balloons.  Needless to say, I pumped something out fairly quick.  After talking with Cynthia, who is also my editor, I decided to expand on the story and publish it.  I was already done with several other short stories by this point, but they were not published yet.  So, Heart You became my first published book and was inspired by Cynthia’s challenging prompts.

  2. Do you have a specific writing style?
I would like to say no, because I consider myself a very flexible person.  However, I do have a few style preferences I have stuck with so far.  For example, I am most comfortable writing in first person, past tense, from the female’s perspective.  However, I have also ventured into writing a little from the male’s perspective in the Soul Seers Series.  I also tend to be a bit simplistic with my vocabulary.  Honestly, if a story is written well, there is no need to dress it up in fancy words half of your readers will have to look up.  Keeping my stories simple and snag-free for my readers is my main goal.

  3. How did you come up with the title?Heart You was an easy title that developed itself based on the story.  Samantha obviously has more feelings for her roommate than just simple lust… some may even notice the story hinted towards Sam’s unspoken love for Kara.  Combining the risqué candy hearts with the fad saying “heart you” in place of “love you”, the title was born.

  4. Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?Heart You is a short and sweet story about taking control of your desires.  Sometimes we tend to sit back and watch life pass us by because we’re too worried or scared of what others will think of our actions.  In most cases, I have found that embracing your aspirations in life is the only way you’re going to be happy.  You never want to live life riding the “what-if” train.

  5. How much of the book is realistic?I get this question a lot and I don’t mind answering as long as readers know I am a girl who likes to keep some of her secrets, well… secret.  ;)  So far, all of my books have been based on real life experiences or have some parts that express my knowledge of other things I enjoy.  Take Voices of the Soul as an example: since I was an art major in college, you will often hear me talk about fine arts—sculpture, pottery, photography, etc.  All of my past experiences are a part of me in some way and will often show up in my various ramblings.  Of course, there are the select few readers who want to know if my naughty bits are also realistic.  My answer, although vague, is usually this: All fiction is based on some form of reality—otherwise we would never have the inspiration or knowledge to dream up the realistic situations we portray with our words.  I am proud to say that my personal experiences have been inspirational, though perhaps not always identical to that of my fictional characters. Where reality and fantasy diverge, however, must remain my little secret...

  6. Are your novels based on someone you know or events in your own life?Sometimes my stories are based on people I know or things I’ve experienced.  Both Heart You and Bind Me are based on people I know and/or events I’ve had the pleasure of encountering first hand.

  7. Which of your novels have influenced your life the most? This is a hard question because I’m not sure there is any one specific story that has influenced my life the most.  I will add that Voices of the Soul was the first story I gave out to people I didn’t know so they could read it and give me their honest opinions.  Before I gave that story a test run, I didn’t consider myself an author.  The title scared me and I knew I was completely out of my comfort zone.  So, when I received several positive responses about Voices of the Soul, it changed my outlook on my capabilities as an author.

  8. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? That depends on several factors…
Believe it or not, Jason Brant is the first author that pops into my head.  He has been mentoring me from the beginning about publishing independently and giving me advice about my series themes and more.  Our genres may be worlds apart (he is a horror/thriller author), but his support has been overwhelming and I can’t thank him enough for his generosity and his occasional kick-in-the-ass when I need it.  His douche bag humor always makes me laugh when work become a little too tense.
If I had to pick one author within my genre that inspires me, that would have to be Christin Lovell.  Laura Kaye is a VERY close second because I like to think our styles are very similar, but I have more one-on-one contact with Christin and couldn’t imagine getting this far without her support and great reads fueling me.
I do have so many other author-mentors out there—especially my dear friend, S.L. Dearing, who is always there for me when I need a beta reader and some encouragement.

  9. What book are you reading now?Right now I am reading The Gathering by S.L. Dearing and Red Planet by Robert Heinlein (recommended by the enigmatic Jayce Grayson)

  10. What are your current projects? - Completing book six of the Soul Seers Series.
    - The third Roommate Romance novella, which has a tentative title of Share You.
    - My full-length erotica novel I’ve been working on since September of last year called Exposed Affections.
    - A new vampire erotica short featuring a dominant motorcycle street racer chick.
    - A YA paranormal short story for a new anthology, which will be published for free as a thank you to all our loyal readers.
    - Many other ideas that have been jotted down for future use.  :)

  11. Do you see your writing as a career?Yes, just like my graphic and web design career, I take writing very seriously.  I have what is called “creative ADD” which allows me to declare all kinds of nifty careers without being labeled as a nutcase, though I never claim to be sane either.

  12. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?I wouldn’t change a single word.

  13. Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?A dream.  A very yummy dream.

  14. Can you share a little of your current work with us?Gladly!  This short excerpt is from an untitled story I am currently working on.  The story will include a special treat for all my readers that I’m hoping everyone will LOVE! <3

This beautiful man is petrified of me.  Of course, I’m not surprised.  He should be scared.

Standing over him, I could tell he wanted this.  Regardless of how much he tried to hide himself, he couldn’t hide the look of fascination disguised behind his fear.

His naked skin against my black satin sheets made me think of piano keys—patterns of ebony and ivory—perfect for playing a sultry tune using my skillful fingers.  Adding streams of scarlet on this colorless canvas would be the perfect touch.

My loft was ideal for my… recreations.  The upper-level was open, yet private, hiding my play area from the world outside.  Even though my human façade was daring and outgoing, I thrived on anonymity in my personal life.

I could already tell this man was going to derail my desire to remain unknown.  The pulse throbbing at his thick neck made me realize just how irresistible he was to me.

Continuing to examine him, exploring every curve of his muscles, every vein under his skin, I chuckled out loud as I wondered, can I keep him as my own personal pet?

Goose bumps broke out over his deliciously marbled skin at the sound of my laugh.  He bit his lip as he stared back at me, attempting to stay strong.  He knew he wanted it—wanted something—and the suspense of exactly what it was he wanted was killing him.

Yet, I thrived on suspense.  The build up of expectation as I watched my lovers squirm was nearly the same as foreplay.  After you couldn’t take the wait and anticipation any longer, the point of no return was pure rapture.

My bed consisted of a thin, yet comfortable mattress lying in the middle of the hardwood floor.  The walls surrounding the entire upper-level were mirrored, allowing me to see my catch from all angles.  It was a feature already installed when I moved in and I wordlessly thanked the previous tenant for his perverted ways.

I firmly stood at the foot of the bed, my feet spread apart and my hands on my hips, wearing my favorite high-heeled leather boots and an outfit that was made up of nothing more than a few leather straps wrapping around my curvy frame.  Licking my lips, anticipation welling up inside me, I silently stalked my prey.

Dinner.

15. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? Endings!  I have the darndest time coming up with a perfect ending that doesn’t end up falling flat or turning out to be predictably boring.

16. Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

  • No.  Not yet, anyway.  The world wide web is my cheap tour guide.  But, I would love to visit the Mauna Kea Summit I wrote about in Voices of the Soul.

17. Who designed the covers?

  • I designed all my covers myself.  I have been a professional graphic designer for over eight years and also provide premade and custom cover design to other authors.  Naturally, I take pride in all my cover designs.

(My graphic design website – http://phycel.com/ )

18. What was the hardest part of writing your book? Having the cojones to publish for the whole world to read.  Being strong enough to allow strangers into your soul is definitely the most challenging part of the entire process.

19. Do you have any advice for other writers?

 - Never give up on your dreams.

- Take all criticism constructively, regardless of whether it is good or bad.  You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but all criticism will make you a better writer (even if it’s only practicing tolerance of troll reviewers who thrive on putting others down – your tolerance of this will make you a more well rounded public figure).

- Be aware that not all readers, bloggers, or authors will have the same tastes you do.  Just because someone doesn’t want to read or review your book doesn’t mean it’s personal.

- BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER FILES!  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard other authors boo-hoo about losing their work because they didn’t back up.  It is essential for any professional to secure their work, their livelihood.

20. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? Uhm… thank you?  Yeah, that’s it.  Thank you!  And, don’t be afraid to drop me a line on my Facebook page every once in a while.  I don’t bite… hard.  http://facebook.com/renefolsom/
