Rowdy

Rowdy (Marked Men, #5)Rowdy by Jay Crownover

After the only girl he ever loved told him he would never be enough, Rowdy St. James knocked the Texas dust off his boots and decided he was going to do everything in his power to live up to his nickname. Life was all about a good time, good friends and never taking much too seriously. Rowdy learned his lesson early on, when you care that much about anything it can destroy you, and he never wants to risk feeling like that again. Only now he has a new coworker, a ghost from the past who’s making him question every lesson he ever learned.
Salem Cruz grew up in a house with too many rules, too many regulations, and no fun allowed. That never worked for her so she left it all behind as soon as she could, but she never forgot the sweet, blue-eyed boy next door who’d been in love with her little sister. Fate and good intentions from an old friend have placed her right in Rowdy’s path and she’s determined to show him he picked the wrong sister all those years ago. A mission that is going along perfectly until the one person that ties them together shows up and could very well tear them back

Wow what is there not to say about this book! Rowdy and Salem are totally made for each other. Rowdy is a good guy who just needs to overcome his past, and Salem is a strong and independent woman.....the chemistry is out of this world! After getting to know the characters in this series its so nice to see Rowdy find his soul mate! I am going to be so upset when this series ends as it is hands down one of the best series that I have read, and the author has gained herself a fan for life! I would never turn down the chance to read any of her books, they are all so amazing!

Reading this series feels like going back to old friends every time. Its warm and familiar and you just want to jump in and go and live with them all, or at least I do! I never want these stories to end, and each of these books has left me with a book hangover for days as nothing matches up!

A big thank you to Harper Collins for providing me with a copy of Rowdy in exchange for an honest review. I will forever be indebted for being introduced to such an amazing author.

If I could have given this a 10 I would have done! Jump back into the world of the Marked men with Rowdy!
Yet another one of the tall, hot, tattooed Marked men fills our pages, and our heads, with hotness, broodiness, and another fantastic backstory that makes this another book that is difficult to put down.
Rolling through a variety of emotions throughout a Jay Crownover book is pretty much becoming the norm! And Rowdy wastes no time in taking the reader through an emotional rollercoaster. Between Rowdys upbringing, his relationship with the Cruz sisters, his battle with his own emotions, and the usual drama that seems to follow the Marked men and their crowd around, had me laughing, angry, sad, tearful and any other emotion in between too.
As with all the women in these books so far, I loved Salem, too. Fierce, independent, and hell bent on getting what she wants, she was the perfect woman from Rowdy from the word go, and they literally are 'the perfect match'. It isn't easy, though, and they have a lot to overcome before we see if they can make it or not.
Its pretty much a given that there is some hot, steamy sex in one of the Marked men books, and Rowdy doesn't fail to disappoint. As Ive said many times before, I'm not a massive erotica fan, but I love Crownovers way of writing sex scenes in a way that makes them amazing to read, no smut or overuse of the same words, and always different. I love them!
