Jet Review
Jet by Jay Crownover
Synopsis
With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.
Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.
Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?
Lisa's Review - 5 out of 5 stars
HELLOOOOOO Jet!! Can the fabulous Jay Crownover ever write a man badly? I think the answer to that is no! Some may have picked up from my last review of Rule that I have read The Marked Men books in the wrong order, and although Jet is the 2nd book in the series, out of the 5 already released it is actually the last one I have read.
Both Jet and Ayden have secrets. Neither of them have had the perfect or happiest of lives so far, Jet has grown up with a douche of a dad and a mom who wont walk away from him no matter what. Ayden grew up in a trailer, running riot during her teenage years, doing all kinds of bad things, especially if they meant getting her brother, Asa, out of trouble.
Now both of them are living their lives, trying to move on from the pasts and keeping their cards close to their chests. The attraction between Jet and Ayden became very apparent in Rule, but Jet knocked Ayden back, and in his book we find out why.
As with all the Marked Men, the road to a happy relationship is filled with bumps but Jet and Ayden are made for each other. There are times throughout the book I laughed, I cried, and some parts that I really enjoyed - because, yes, this is another Marked Men book filled with deliciously steamy sex scenes, of course!
I also loved getting to know Ayden and Asa better, and cannot wait for Asa's very own book to be released!
