The Awakening Review

The Awakening (Darkest Powers, #2)The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

Chloe Saunders is on the run
and raising hell. Literally.

Chloe Saunders is not your average supernatural teenager. Genetically altered at birth by a sinister team of scientists, she can barely control her terrifying powers. Now the team that created her has decided it's time to end the experiment. Permanently. Now Chloe is running for her life along with a charming sorcerer, a troubled werewolf and a temperamental young witch. Together they have a chance for freedom - but can Chloe trust her new friends?

Carrie's Review 5 of 5 stars

I didn't think it could be done but this book is just as good as the first. The characters relationships change and become more diverse in a gripping and exciting way, will they wont they? This book is also just as fast paced as the first, you can't help but not put it down. Be warned have all of the series before starting the first. I just love these books.

The second instalment of the dark powers series kicks off where the first left off. Chloe and friends are stuck at the institute, Chloe knows beyond a doubt they need to escape and find Derek and Simon. This book certainly offers more action and adventure ,it's also great to see all of the characters learning how to use and control there abilities whilst there friendships and relationships blossom. Chloe and Tori are becoming friends or at least colleges in there attempt to escape, and Rea refuses to move. What will Happen and will they succeed.
