About ASA:
Jay Crownover’s New York TimesandUSA TodaybestsellingMarked Menseries continues with the much anticipated story of southern charmer and certified criminal Asa Cross. Starting over in Denver with a whole new circle of friends and family, Asa Cross struggles with being the man he knows everyone wants him to be and the man he knows he really is. A leopard doesn’t it change its spots and Asa has always been a predator. He doesn’t want to hurt those who love and rely on him, especially one luscious arresting cop who suddenly seems to be interested in him for far more than his penchant for breaking the law. But letting go of old habits is hard, and it’s easy to hit bottom when it’s the place you know best. Royal Hastings is quickly learning what the bottom looks like after a tragic situation at work threatens not only her career but her partner’s life. As a woman who has only ever had a few real friends she’s trying to muddle through her confusion and devastation all alone. Except she can’t stop thinking about the sexy southern bartender she locked up. Crushing on Asa is the last thing she needs but his allure is too strong to resist. His long criminal record can only hurt her already shaky career and chasing after a guy who has no respect for the law or himself can only end in heartbreak. A longtime criminal and a cop together just seems so wrong . . . but for Asa and Royal, being wrong together is the only right choice to make.
EXCERPT:
Claire's Review 5 of 5 Stars
It has taken me a while to write this review as I've found it hard to find the right words!
When I first was introduced to the Marked Men series, I fell in love with them. A great set of friends and the romances that set the books on fire, keep you coming back again and again and wanting to jump into the books and love with them!
When I had the chance to get my hands on an ARC of Asa, I jumped at the chance! Although the ending is bitter sweet to many fans - the end of an era, but what a perfect era that has been! I was apprehensive to start Asa, not wanting to admit that this was the last of the Marked Men, and also the other half of me wanted to dive in and race through the pages, to discover how Crownover would end it all.
My favourite Marked Man was always Rule, but Asa has now truly fought for his crown and comes in at joint first! What is there not to love about Asa! A man with a shady past, a bad boy trying hard to keep on the straight and narrow....but then he is thrown together with Royal! Beautiful, bold Royal, but also Asa's opposite, being a cop! So much to be wrong but at the same time so much to be right! And how the sparks fly when he finally gives in to her!
So much I could say about this amazing book, but I don't want to spoil it! All I can say, is if you haven't given the Marked Men a chance, then you are missing out!!
This maybe the end, but what a perfect end it is, and instead of feeling sad, I would love to thank Jay, for bringing such an amazing set of characters to life! I can firmly say I am a fan for life! The Marked will be a set of books I will read again and again and will always make me smile :)
And don’t miss the previous books in The Marked Men Series!
