Shona's review 4 of 5 stars

This book has sat on my kindle since shortly after its release date, so why has it taken me so long to get round to reading it? I hear you ask... quite simply because I just wasn't ready to finish up this trilogy.
The writing style that drew me in so completely with the first two books was so very present in A Place Beyond, and once again Howard wowed me with her descriptive text that truly makes you feel as though you are right there on the page with Allison and her friends.

I was a little disappointed with the big confrontation with Aoife, I'm not sure exactly what I imagined I just know those expectations weren't entirely fulfilled. It really did feel too easy. However, we did have some real resolutions with some of the other matters that we had going on. And while I kinda saw the ending coming, I loved it anyway.
