I had wanted to read a book by Laura Barnard for a long time, and when she was announced as an author for the Four Brits Book Fest 2017 it was the perfect excuse to fit on in! I began with The Debt and the Doormat (Which was amazing! and I highly recommend) and when the opportunity arose to read Adventurous Proposal, I jumped at the chance!
This book is the story of Florence, who after being stood up by her Tinder date, meets Hugh at the bar and after a crazy evening agrees to marry him....on Christmas Day.....in 23 days time.
I loved this book! it had a bit of everything... humour, romance, times when you doubted whether it would be Flo's happy ever after, and of course it's the perfect Christmas read as well!
This book is perfect for snuggling up with under a blanket with a hot chocolate and devouring!
